From our Chairman

Weeley Residents Association January 2024

We would like to wish all our readers a happy and healthy New Year. May the time ahead be kind to you and, as far as you can, enjoy every moment of every day that awaits. Our association year ended very well indeed. The final monthly talk in November was given by Jon Wright of Wrights Butchers in Frinton. We learnt so much about different meats, the care and husbandry of the animals before the food reaches our plates. Jon gave us lots of cooking tips too! It was beyond interesting. Thank you to Barbara for asking Jon to come
along. Refreshments, as always, were provided by Viv and Tony.

On a rainy, cold afternoon, the Weeley Christmas Tree lights were switched on. Despite the weather, many people turned out and a great time was had by all. Many thanks to Kevin Green and his helpers and Elaine Green who provided some very welcome hot food. The tree looks beautiful and we hope everyone has managed to see it. If you weren’t there, we hope you saw the pictures and short video that were posted on our Facebook page.
Kevin has asked to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers who supported the NHS in the Village hall with Covid and flu vaccinations in October and November.
